Elizabeth practices herbal medicine from a western perspective with an emphasis on treating the entire person, not just symptoms of an acute illness. She does an extensive intake with each client -- incorporating constitutional analysis and the four elements as they are associated with hot, cold, wet and dry conditions. In doing this, she identifies the best way to work with each individual client in order to bring them to a higher state of health and vitality.
Elizabeth also uses neoclassical pulse and tongue diagnosis as taught by Dr. William Morris and incorporates the use of herbs that span the European, Ayurvedic, Traditional Chinese and Native American pharmacopeia.
In addition to working with her client's physical, mental and emotional well-being through the use of herbal medicine, Elizabeth also helps support her clients in pursuing their health goals, life goals and passions -- whether that is through dietary and lifestyle recommendations or just by holding space for clients to speak their piece/peace.
Wellness consultations take place in the Elizabeth's office in San Francisco's mission district. Initial intakes are approximately 2 hours long. Follow-up visits are about 1 hour. Elizabeth also holds 30 minute visits for $40 for clients who need a quick formula to help with an acute condition.
Herbal formulas are crafted for clients during this visit for them to take home at the end of the session.
